Introduction

Niko's Motivation

Hello! I’m Niko, and my journey began in game development where I specialized in creating fracture animations using Unity. In my doctoral research, I’m advancing this work by developing fracture animation and cutting simulation systems that combine deep learning with physics-based approaches. This allows me to explore new frontiers in synthesizing realistic physics simulations within digital environments.

My passion for this work stems from personal experience. Observing my family’s experiences (my grandmother) with senior care highlighted the critical need for AI and robotics systems that can understand spatial contexts while maintaining privacy and security. By enhancing 3D environmental understanding, these systems can provide more dignified senior care, improving safety, mobility, and quality of life.

Drawing on my expertise in simulation systems and my vision for practical AI applications, I seek collaborations at the intersection of deep learning, physics simulation, and human-centric technology development.
